Your adventure tour includes a five-day trek from Paro to Thimphu, and you will hike through changing landscapes as you discover the pristine wilderness of this Himalayan kingdom.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrive Paro

During the flight, on a clear day, you can see panoramic views of the Himalaya Mountains, including the sacred Jumolhari and Jichu Drake peaks inBhutan.Our representatives will be there to receive there in Paro Airport.On arrival you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to hotel.In the evening Leisure in Paro market. Overnight Paro.

Day 2Paro-Sightseeing

After early breakfast in Hotel. Visit Drukgyel Dzong and Hike to Takshang Monastery. Lunch: Takshang Cafeteria. Visit Kichu Lhakhang.Leisure in Town.Dinner and Overnight in Hotel, Paro.

Day 3Start Trek: Paro-Jele Dzong

The trek is 8 Km and it takes 3 hours. Today will be shortest trekking day. The day starts with a short climb to Jele Dzong. The trek trail is rather gradual up till the camp and if the weather is clear the Paro valley can be seen with snow-capped mountains behind. Above the camp is Jele La Dzong (3,400m) and Jele Dzong is mostly in ruins and there is a Lhakhang with the statute of Buddha Sakyamuni. Overnight camp.

Day 4Jele Dzong- Jangchulakha

The Trek is 10 km and it takes 4 hours. Begin with an hour and half climb and then ascend gradually up. The trail takes you through thick alpine forests and rhododendrons. You may see yak herders around your campsite. There are fascinating views of Johomolhari and other snow capped mountains.Overnight camp

Day 5Jangchulakha - Jimilangtsho

The trek is 11 Km and it takes 4 hours. The trail follows the ridge and on a clear day the views of the mountains and valleys are sensational. Camp is close to the lakes of Jimilangtsho. These lakes are famous for their giant sized trout. Also there are great views of 6,989 m Jichu Drake, the peak representing the protective deity of Paro.Overnight: camp.

Day 6 Jimilangtsho - Simtokha

The Trek is 11Km and it takes 4 hours. The trail takes you through rhododendron trees and by passes thelake ofJanetsho. Today you may come across some yak herder’s camp and get an idea how these people live. Camp is close to SimtokhaLake.Overnight : camp.

Day 7Simkota - Phajodhing - Thimphu

The Trek is 15Km and it take 7 hour and trek ends today. Today you will begin with gradual climb and if the weather permits, you will enjoy majestic view of Mount Gangkar Puensum, and also the other peaks. The trail slowly descends through junipers trees to Phajoding and descends down hill through jungle mostly blue pine till you reach Thimphu. Check In Hotel Arrival Refreshments,Leisure in Town. Dinner and Overnight:Thimphu.

Day 8Thimphu

Morning : sightseeing inThimphu.

Visit Memorial Chorten, Sangay Gang: View Point, Zhorig Chusum, National Library, Indigenous Hospital,Lunch in Hotel, Afternoon visit :Textile Museum, Folk Heritage Museum, Traditional Paper Factory, Leisure in Town, Bhutanese Dinner in Traditional restaurant. Overnight in Hotel, Thimphu.

Day 9Thimphu - Paro

Break fast in Hotel, Attend Traditional Dances performances (Extra)Visit Handicraft Centers,Visit Post Office.Lunch in Hotel,Drive to Paro.Drive to Taa Dzong,Visit Rimpung Dzong,Leisure in Town.Overnight in Hotel

Day 10Depart Paro

Breakfast in Hotel,Drive to the airport.Check In Airport. Flight on Druk Air.
